Forged Aluminum 3D Bicycle Stem (Short): Compact Handlebar Stem
This short forged aluminum 3D bicycle stem is a compact stem with a short reach: a four-bolt handlebar clamp at one end, a steerer clamp at the other, and a short, full-section body between them. A short stem places the bar closer to the steering axis for quicker steering response and is common on trail, downhill and electric mountain bikes.
In a short stem, material is concentrated in the two clamps, and the corners between body and clamps concentrate stress. Al Forge Tech (AFT) 3D hot forges the stem so grain flow turns continuously between the short body and both clamps. After heat treatment, clamp bores, slots and threads are CNC-machined and diameters and angles verified on CMM. The finish can be dyed anodizing or shot blasting to the brand’s requirement.
