Paintball Marker Upper Receiver-1
Description
Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver: Straight-Profile Body
This forged aluminum paintball marker upper receiver is the upper body forging of a paintball marker. It is a long receiver with flat sides and chamfered edges and a round boss on top that serves as the feed neck or accessory mount. This version has a straight profile; after CNC machining, the forging forms the internal passages, mounting holes and exterior lines.
A paintball marker body needs light weight, rigidity and a quality finish. The dense structure of forged aluminum suits heavy CNC machining and dyed anodizing and avoids the exposed porosity that castings can show after machining. Al Forge Tech (AFT) hot forges a near-net receiver blank to reduce machining time compared with cutting from solid billet, and completes CNC machining and anodizing in-house.
Key Features
- Long receiver hot forged to near-net shape, reducing machining
- Dense structure gives even machined and dyed-anodized surfaces
- Top boss machinable as feed neck or accessory mount
- CNC machining and anodizing completed in-house

Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver Manufacturing Process
- Drawing review and DFM: we confirm alloy, load direction and critical dimensions, then run QForm simulation to predict metal flow and defect risk.
- Die design and manufacturing: the number of die sets (for example, blocker and finisher dies) is planned around part complexity, and die contours are checked with a portable 3D scanner.
- Hot forging: closed-die forming on 600T–8,000T hot forging presses creates a continuous grain flow that follows the part contour.
- Heat treatment: T4 solution treatment and T6 artificial aging are performed in-house, with parameters set by alloy and strength requirement.
- CNC machining and finishing: holes, threads and mating surfaces are machined, followed by deburring, vibratory finishing, shot blasting or anodizing as required.
- Inspection and shipment: dimensions, hardness and chemical composition are verified with CMM, hardness testers and a spectrometer, with lot traceability kept under IATF 16949.
FAQ
Why forge a paintball marker receiver instead of machining from billet?
Machining a receiver from solid billet removes most of the material, with long cycle times and high material cost. Forging creates a shape close to the finished part, shortening machining and reducing material use. The dense forged structure also gives a more even appearance after large-area machining and dyed anodizing, making consistent quality easier to hold in production.
How is a consistent dyed-anodized appearance maintained?
Anodized color depends on alloy composition, machined surface texture and process conditions. AFT verifies material composition with a spectrometer and deburrs and cleans parts after CNC machining before anodizing to reduce lot-to-lot color variation. If you have a specific color code or cosmetic standard, please provide a sample or color chip for approval at the sample stage.
Can you assess forging feasibility while the Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver is still in design?
Yes. Al Forge Tech works mainly as an OEM supplier, and our engineers can give design-for-manufacturability (DFM) feedback at the concept or drawing stage, such as adjusting thin ribs, abrupt section changes or draft angles to avoid laps and underfill. QForm simulation predicts metal flow early, and the results are cross-checked against our die design experience.
Can Al Forge Tech supply the Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver from forging through machining?
Yes. Forging, heat treatment, CNC machining, surface finishing and inspection are integrated in one facility: 52 CNC machining centers (40 four-axis and 12 4.5-axis), 30 lathes (14 with robotic loading), plus broaching, burnishing and centerless grinding. The Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver can be delivered as a forged blank, semi-finished or fully machined part.
How are MOQ and lead time for the Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver determined?
MOQ and lead time depend on part size, number of die sets, alloy and machining scope, and are confirmed in the quotation after drawing review. The typical sequence is die development, forged samples, sample approval and then mass production. Sharing your annual volume and call-off schedule helps us plan dies and capacity for the Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver.
