Paintball Marker Upper Receiver-2
説明
Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver (Sculpted): Contoured Body Forging
This sculpted forged aluminum paintball marker upper receiver is an upper body forging with a more three-dimensional styling, featuring side recesses, angled faces and decorative grooves, plus a top boss that serves as the feed neck or accessory mount. The styling is formed directly in the forging die, cutting the CNC time needed to carve exterior detail.
The more complex the exterior, the longer the tool paths and cycle time required to machine it from solid billet. Al Forge Tech (AFT) presses the main styling grooves in one closed-die hot forging operation, then CNC-machines the internal passages and mounting holes, balancing cosmetic detail with machining efficiency. The dense forged structure suits dyed anodizing for an even surface finish.
主な機能
- Side recesses and styling grooves formed directly by forging
- Fewer CNC tool paths and less time carving exterior detail
- Top boss machinable as feed neck or accessory mount
- Dense structure gives an even dyed-anodized appearance

Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver (Sculpted) Manufacturing Process
- 熱間鍛造: closed-die forming on 600T–8,000T hot forging presses creates a continuous grain flow that follows the part contour.
How does the sculpted receiver differ in process from the straight version?
The straight version is mostly flat faces and chamfers, with the exterior largely created by CNC machining. The sculpted version has more grooves and angled faces, so AFT builds the main styling into the forging die and the forging carries the exterior contour, leaving CNC to finish key faces and internal features. This requires more detailed die design but shortens machining time in production.
How are laps and underfill avoided on cosmetic forgings?
Styling grooves and bosses make metal flow paths more complex, and poor material distribution can cause laps at groove corners or underfill in tight areas. AFT evaluates metal flow with QForm simulation, adjusts billet shape and die design based on experience, adds a preform stage where needed, and confirms cosmetic quality through first-, middle- and last-piece checks.
How does a forged aluminum Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver (Sculpted) compare with casting or machining from billet?
Forging shapes aluminum in the solid state under pressure, so the grain flow follows the part contour and the porosity and shrinkage common in castings are avoided. Compared with machining from solid billet, a near-net-shape forging removes less material and shortens machining time. For a Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver (Sculpted) under repeated loads, forging balances strength and weight; the final choice still depends on design loads and volume.
Is heat treatment for the Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver (Sculpted) done in-house?
Yes. Al Forge Tech operates 8 T4 solution treatment units and 7 T6 artificial aging units on site, so the Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver (Sculpted) can be solution treated, quenched and aged in the same facility before machining and inspection. Keeping heat treatment in-house removes inter-plant transport, reduces lead-time risk and keeps lot traceability within one quality system. Parameters are set according to the alloy grade and your specification.
What information do you need to quote the Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver (Sculpted)?
Please send a 3D model and 2D drawing, alloy grade and temper, critical tolerances, surface finish requirements, estimated annual volume and target delivery date. Complete data lets our engineers judge forging feasibility, the number of die sets and the machining scope for the Forged Aluminum Paintball Marker Upper Receiver (Sculpted) at the quotation stage. If the design is still conceptual, a sketch is enough to start a DFM discussion.
